While on tour with a group a couple of years ago, I was impressed with this statue and memorial at the Little Bighorn Battlefield in Montana. The native tribes in the area (northern plains) joined together to fight against Custer and to try to preserve their way of life in 1876. While they won the battle, they lost the war.
