Artist's Description
Hebrew calligraphy on a watercolor background of the verses from Genesis 28:16-17. I put the words into my version of a ladder with the most important ones on the rungs. This is the translation: And Jacob awoke from his sleep and said "Surely God is in the place, and I did not know it! Shaken, he said, "How awesome is this place! This is none other than the house of God, and this is the gate of heaven." Matted size of the original is 8.5 X 11.

Thank you. I had done several sketches in the past, but none of them made it to the painting stage. There are many famous paintings on this verse.

I love the idea that you have used here. Using the words as a ladder. So charming!! The colors at the background are fantastic.
