The trail to Franconia Falls is off the Lincoln Woods trail in the White Mountains of New Hampshire. We had gone cross country skiing on this trail many years ago and decided to hike it one day in the summer to see what else was there. Beautiful waterfalls. Very cold water, but people (mostly kids) were sliding and jumping in and having a wonderful time.
The original painting has been sold, but prints are still available on this website.
