I painted this scene from my visit to Edna Creek in Idaho as a practice piece in Payne's Gray and white. I was practicing on creating depth (3D) on a flat surface only using darks and lights (values), not colors. Imagine my surprise when someone bought the piece. That was a happy surprise.
